People keep emailing/texting me asking about the field status. I only know a couple of things:
1) Taylor field blows ass.
2) Johnny has been running around talking to a million different entities about fields.
Every neighborhood has a DIFFERENT city worker in charge of their parks and fields. So there's a ton of phone tag... and each person you talk to only has a couple of fields to discuss.
Then you have to coordinate availability (because this whole issue was sprung on us last-minute), and field size. A lot of places are too small for 3 games at a time. So we'd have to have 6:30 games again. Many places only rent out to Little Leagues. Etc etc.
Kickball will happen, and hopefully it'll be this week. We might have to play Week 1 on one field... and Week 2 somewhere else.
In fact, maybe we should re-name the divisions to better represent all of our travels?
Nomad? Gypsy? Jews (the 1550-1313 BC variety, depending on what scholar you talk to)? Jews (the 1939-1944 variety, if we want to be more modern). Aztecs (pre-Tenochtitlan)?
There are many great wanderers in history. GKB currently holds the torch.

No lights. So if you want to play from 6pm till 6:30pm... go for it.
