I guess it's that time of year again already. And I'm glad to see Griff putting some commentary behind his picks. Would love to see more of that... of course, I'd love to see more random nudity by female players every season and that never happens either.
Here's what you're waiting for:
Shockers -- Wow, talk about an early big match up right out of the gate. This one will basically give the winner the inside track in the Boobie Conference though I'm sure the Ballics will have something to say about that. If you want to see some spirited kickball competition and orange thongs in action then watch this one. Dick Vitale just changed his shorts. Stains in front and back.
TBN -- It's hard to pick Flo's new team, Pants On the Ground so I just won;t. The Beer Nuts made a very late acquisition when Cathy Leone joined the team. Nate gave her a Dirty Tebow soon after. No word yet if she's left the team yet. If she does, that will be the 3rd team she's left this season. Oh well, she's bound to finally start meeting those new people she's looking for eventually.
BnD -- Not much doubt about how this one is going to go, but either way I'll still be drinking with Team Fab at the bar. Super!!!!!!
PMU -- Souder's first game as captain should be interesting to watch, but I'm thinking the Bullies have poached some of this team. Besides I instituted "the Liger Rule" last year for a reason. When in doubt pick the Liger opponent. Chantless, songless and probably sober PMU wins this one.
Ballics -- All people really want to know is when can they expect to see an Alco-bikini calendar? Although the Ballics won't catch anyone by surprise this season, I'm just not sold WAKAshame has enough ammo to win this one, and that's including their Daywalker, Justin. Ginger powers...Activate!
Bullies -- If Rollo hasn't put on 25 lbs from Doughnut Eating School then the Bullies should be poised for a good return to kickball. Look for a lead off drag bunt from a fastfood-filled, nightstick swinging, mustache touting former lover of Chan's. Besides, if the Bullies don't win Paige will fight somebody at the bar.
Superbad -- Frank changes course after the 3rd inning when the Camel Toes aren't picking positions at random and SuperBad mounts a comeback. Campaign promises are still just campaign promises.
Jammers -- Dollar Wells took it on the chin with a smile this off-season and changed their name. This is just another example of the power of the kickball media, which is basically only this one website. The Jammers won the Cathy sweepstakes before she "Favred" them choosing to retire and then "Favred" her way back into the league on a team where she can meet new people.... the Beer Nuts. Nice call.
Yegabombs - *Lock of the week* A) Since Rob posts word documents in jpeg format and its annoying. They lose. B)Kevin has been working out in his garage and pounding margaritas. What this mean? It means he can still crush the shit out of the ball with his left foot. C)(Bonus)One of these teams has that dolphin kick girl that plays catcher. If you haven't seen it, go gander. Its pretty mesmerizing.
TBN - Are "I'd Kick That" the last refugees from a succession of bad "Your Mom" teams with some Flo stragglers sprinkled on top? Can they even run the bases properly? Will corona shirts,lurking and over coaching get in the way? Who knows? TBN capitalizes on the insanity.
BND - Though the pink tacos seemingly get better every season. I just don't see the dark side not being a lil too pumped up and losing their first game.
Ligers - Cue, Marla tears 2.0, now. Followed by 3.0 after the game.
Wakashame - Tough one. Wakashame, has inherited a competent cheerleader. They got something to prove. And the 'ballics got fat from living high on the hog. Not ready to defend their championship. Plus did Duc disappear? Is he lost like Ding Dong?
Off constantly - Whatever.
Superbad - New Team VS New Wiener. New Wiener wins.
Jammers - A little too stacked IMO. Especially if the Glass Man (Griff) Stay's healthy.... Huge! Quickly!
Yeagabombs vs Shockers- Tough pick in what I consider the game of the week. Two teams that have played well over the last few seasons face off in a battle of offense vs defense. Offense wins early in the season and therefore my pick goes to the Yeagabombs.
Thee Beer Nuts vs I'd Kick That- If this game was later on in the season I think I would have picked differently as I am picking I'd Kick That as the surprise team this season. The Beer Nuts just seem to find a way to lose although somehow a few wins do fall in their lap each season. They get an early present this season playing a team that will probably be a little slow out of the gate. Beer Nuts win.
Balls N Dolls vs Team Fabulous- Balls N Dolls quit pretending they care if they are liked or not and make sure Team Fab knows this. BnD wins big.
Pick Me Up vs Ligers- The Ligers who like the Gators had the best signing day of the off season, get to exercise the chant of Liiiiiiigers early and often. Meanwhile PMU is still without a cheer and after week 1 without a "W" as well.
Alcoballics vs WAKAshame- This game showcases probably the most consistent team in the Ballics vs one of the most inconsistent in WAKAshame. Consistency pays off but if WS shows up to play, this one will be close.
Playground Bullies vs Off Constantly- The Bullies pick up where they left off as do Off Constantly. Bullies win in a heated game where Off Constantly argues constantly.
SuperBad vs Camel Toes 2.0- With Franks announcement that their season is basically doomed before it even starts (at least win wise), I still think they find a way to win this game against CT20 (not to be confused with C3PO) although it will probably be their last.
Toe Jammers vs Dollar Wells- Major changes where made to the Jammers this off season but it is an early mystery as to how they will fair without Maria's pudding shots on the sideline to keep them fueled with the perfect blend of alcohol and pudding. Luckily for them about half the team is made up of members of RRR keeping off the early season rust. RRR I mean TJ's win.

Alcoballics - they beat us pretty good last year if I remember correctly (big if, I'm typically blacking out at some point on Thursdays so the games can often run together) so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt.

OK, im going against my normal gambling ways which like in college fb, i always wait a couple weeks to truley see what teams are made of. But F-it, everyone else is going off past performance and developed their owm preseason ranking, guess ill indulge you all with my thoughts...
Yeagabombs vs Shockers- Yes its a tough pick and you all are basing it on of past performances. I'm going to too cause didnt Yeaga have trouble coming out of the gate last year? Boom Shockers win this one till yeaga greases its wheels.
Thee Beer Nuts vs I'd Kick That- Same thing on these teams are being judged on past performance. Will the beer nuts pull a beer nut and beer nut all over themselves? Not this week, kicktease.. err id kick that.. haven't held their 10+ practices (that i know of) like flonette required of them last year. Hence the bear lays and egg while riding his tricycle. Beer nuts win.
Balls N Dolls vs Team Fabulous- BND starts the game (and season)off cordially cause team fab chose to be in their division. Then some call goes against bnd ways and they get all bent out of shape and return to their old form. BND wins big. (prove me wrong bnd go for the crystal pitcher this year!)
Pick Me Up vs Ligers- Ligers shuffled their roster around some, but had liger camp to sort things out. did pmu have a camp? doubt it, considering they dont even have a cheer. Ligers win at the fields, but then their ego gets deflated as they lose at the flip cup table.
Alcoballics vs WAKAshame- I received an insider trading tip that the ballics star pitcher (Duc)wont be there for week 1 and their star catcher (Rob) won't be here at all this season. That might affect the point spread but not the outcome, Ballics still get the W.
Playground Bullies vs Off Constantly- My scouts give me absolutely no background to these 2teams. You see why I hate making picks week 1? Sigh Ty's team has had losing seasons in the past so im guessing history will continue to repeat itself. Playground Bullies win.
SuperBad vs Camel Toes 2.0- Vegas odds have 2 point spreads on this game. Its all gonna depend on it Superbad hold true to their promise of "random" assignments. Shockers - They have gone from doormat to dominant force lately. Tough opponent but they find a way to pull it out in the end.
I'd Kick That - Beer Nuts signed Cathy in the offseason which adds to an already potent team (sometimes) but they crush too much brew and forget there is an actual kickball game going on.
BnD - Team fab doesn't function well in the cold.
Ligers - Chandler screws up but Liger Cub Smithkey saves the day. PMU is still without chant
Ballics - Mike gets so excited to get the Ding Dong back that he kicks a homerun
Bullies - Contrary to what Jack said, you can beat Off Constantly
Superbad - In what is sure to be an emotional first game, Frank screws up but Camel Toes does not have enough fire power to beat the team that could win it all this season.
Soul Glo - Ruben is exhausted from Super Bowl week but he pitches well enough for the W. Will Griff pull a bambi while kicking a homerun again?
OK, im going against my normal gambling ways which like in college fb, i always wait a couple weeks to truley see what teams are made of. But F-it, everyone else is going off past performance and developed their owm preseason ranking, guess ill indulge you all with my thoughts...
Yeagabombs vs Shockers- Yes its a tough pick and you all are basing it on of past performances. I'm going to too cause didnt Yeaga have trouble coming out of the gate last year? Boom Shockers win this one till yeaga greases its wheels.
Thee Beer Nuts vs I'd Kick That- Same thing on these teams are being judged on past performance. Will the beer nuts pull a beer nut and beer nut all over themselves? Not this week, kicktease.. err id kick that.. haven't held their 10+ practices (that i know of) like flonette required of them last year. Hence the bear lays and egg while riding his tricycle. Beer nuts win.
Balls N Dolls vs Team Fabulous- BND starts the game (and season)off cordially cause team fab chose to be in their division. Then some call goes against bnd ways and they get all bent out of shape and return to their old form. BND wins big. (prove me wrong bnd go for the crystal pitcher this year!)
Pick Me Up vs Ligers- Ligers shuffled their roster around some, but had liger camp to sort things out. did pmu have a camp? doubt it, considering they dont even have a cheer. Ligers win at the fields, but then their ego gets deflated as they lose at the flip cup table.
Alcoballics vs WAKAshame- I received an insider trading tip that the ballics star pitcher (Duc)wont be there for week 1 and their star catcher (Rob) won't be here at all this season. That might affect the point spread but not the outcome, Ballics still get the W.
Playground Bullies vs Off Constantly- My scouts give me absolutely no background to these 2teams. You see why I hate making picks week 1? Sigh Ty's team has had losing seasons in the past so im guessing history will continue to repeat itself. Playground Bullies win.
SuperBad vs Camel Toes 2.0- Vegas odds have 2 point spreads on this game. Its all gonna depend on it Superbad hold true to their promise of "random" assignments. If thats so I'm "randomly" selecting them to lose. But I see Frank getting competitive come the third inning, abandons his game plan and then takes over as 3rd base coach. So they now get the nod for the W.
Toe Jammers vs Dollar Wells- Ya ya we all heard about how other teams have "poached" their girls. I don't remember them even having any to begin with, so why should I let that influence my pick? It won't, so Jammers start right off with a win and win big.
