Brown Chicken! Brown Teneille! vs THEE Beer Nuts

This week BCBT made their GoKB debut taking on a seasoned Beer Nuts team that are in my opinion one of the funnest teams each season. BCBT took a 2 run lead in the first half of the inning starting out the game with 5 consecutive base hits. TBN did a great of limiting the damage to just 2 runs with some good defensive plays on our aggressive base runners. I think one of the big turning points came in the bottom half of the inning when Nate led off the inning with a single but then got caught making a wide turn to second and was caught dead in the water on a foolish base running error.

TBN would come back and tie it up at two before BCBT took a 3-2 lead in the third. The game would stay close for a couple more innings but the top of the BCBT lineup would prove too much to handle for TBN. The final was 7-2 but it was actually a pretty good game.

TBN held up to their reputation as one of the funnest teams to play and were very great sports. I am pretty sure BCBT is already getting a reputation for being assholes with Knowlton, Tony, Litman, and myself all playing on the same team. Overall I think we kept things fun and might be a funner team to play then most would think.

Other game notes:

-center fielder busted up his face after running face first trying to catch a ball Tony the Terrible kicked into the fence.

-Chuckers destroyed Knowlton in the chugoff while Knowlton chuckled like a little girl

-Alicia caught a ball AND scored a run

-Paid ref was very good but might possibly be a mute

-volunteer refs on 3rd base side did not have a clue and were not paying attention

-it's good to be back playing with the old schoolers again
