Jacked Up probably won the league's affection with their nice personalities. But if anyone saw them Week 11 and at the tournament, it was well deserved. The slip-n-slide game with the Alcoballics was a lot of fun to watch... and after losing their first round game on Saturday they stuck around to play dizzy bat and flip-cup for most of the day. They might surprise some of the league's elite at flip-cup at next weeks' party. And they'll definitely challenge the Growlers at drunkenness.
Other notes of interest:
- The Shockers received zero votes, which gives them one vote over the past two seasons. I find this a bit surprising since D-10 throws a bunch of good parties throughout the year. Grimace can't get any love.
- The Growlers went from 12th place last season (zero votes) to 3rd this season (20 votes). They dominated the bar most weeks, and it's nice to see the league acknowledge it.
- The Crystal Pitcher winner almost always gets the complete backing from a few teams. This season, Jacked Up basically got every vote from YLLINaD and the ToeJammers.
- YLLINaD also didn't fare too well in the voting, which was probably due to sporadic bar appearances. But if Talia wore those shorts to more games, the greenies would have won unanimously.
- Stoney's after the tournament was off the chain. Anyone reading this who didn't attend really missed out on some fun times. The turnout was great too!

Stoney’s was a blast, I got to talking to Dylan (one of the refs), he told me that he’s getting some youngn’s together for a team next season. Called “statutory” (awesome name). Could probably have a whole post about it, not just a nom (and recap Liger’s painful 2-1 loss), but bottom line is it’s good to see some youngbloods, and UT chicks, out, but we can’t let these punks run the show…. They might have youth on their side, but dammit DPT, they don’t have years of sneaky playing and arguing, I think they’ll be beat.

Stoney's was a blast I think we should gather at that fine establishment more often!
Challenge the Growlers at drunkenness? Here are some excerpts from our team e-mail about Saturday night (I don't think anyone pissed themselves although I would like to hear that story):
-I woke up Sunday spooning an uneaten jimmy johns sandwich that was one of three I bought at 230 in the morning. I found another one under my couch untouched and can only I assume I ate the last one.
-Saturday night I was so drunk I had no idea what time it was, but I looked around at some point and didn't see anyone I knew so I thought it was time to go. Then I couldn't remember what my pin was after they forced me to use their atm machine. I remember stumbling to my car and the next thing I remember after that was waking up in my car at 5:30am, still covered in black shit/dirt, looking around and realizing I was still in the Stoney's parking lot and just happy I wasn't robbed or car jacked! I said Fuck Me, threw in a dip, and proceeded to drive home as carefully as possible
Ok ok ok. They won't get more drunk than the Growlers.

Growlers did get screwed out of the Crystal Pitcher this year, just like we did last season. TJ's and Green team put all their votes for Jacked UP which gave them the win......ironic since they were the most boring teams to play. Jacked Up did a good job, but the Growlers came out in numbers each week.

It's my understanding that people can play and still ref in the same league...chan/Souder/Nate did it, I thought?
And what can I say...we enjoyed the view. Jacked Up were the most talked about team this season in a positive way (well for us, anyways)....and looked like the team having the most fun on tourney day.
