A few years ago in college, a friend of mine was all excited over a Guns N' Roses cover band playing at some shitty bar (Eddie C's for you UF people). Apparently she had seen them before and insisted I check out the show. Of course I was skeptical... I mean... it's a cover band... but since tickets were like $10 I obliged and went with her.I was blown away and even took a day off from work just to see them up in Gainesville two years later.
On June 18th (Thursday) they will be playing at the Ritz in Ybor.
In all honesty, they probably play Guns N' Roses songs better than the real band could today. Not only do they have the look and stage act down perfectly, "Slash" didn't even dumb-down the solos. That shit was note-for-note! Check out their website for music clips and other info.
Anyway, if you like the old GnR songs and don't mind a little extra cream in your pants, don't miss this show. As an added bonus, two other cover bands (Mötley Crüe and Poison) will be opening. Tickets can be purchased on the Ritz's website for $15.50 plus fees (or 4-packs for cheaper). I'll send out an evite in a day or so... but comment if you're interested in going.

You guys should check out "Appetite for appetite for destruction" it's a tribute band to the GnR tribute band... they're REALLY good!
