We got video of the captains meeting, so I'll post clips of the new rules as well as some commentary later. Not going to do it from the golf course today. But basically:
No coolers allowed on the fields.
Mandatory balls and strikes.
The league voted to outlaw munting (like we always do).
Missy whistled twice.
Games are 6 innings OR 1 hour, whichever comes first.
MLoop and his fraternity brother told Paige that they NEVER said she was the cause for any rule changes. Which then implies that Jaime made it up... and I know that's not true.
We play 8 games instead of 10 out of concern for lightning. Or something like that. Gotta check the tape.

Not even sure I know what the strike zone is. I'll have to make sure not to ref home so I don't have to worry about it.
Mandatory balls and strikes will help the game, I think, but if you really want to not play that way, I'm sure you can figure out a way to get away with it.
Ruben's cough pretty much covered munting, and sidearm and overhand pitching aren't any tougher than some of the underhand stuff that's been around for years.
I don't get the lightning excuse. We used to play 10 games a season becaue we expected some to get rained out, but all of a sudden Tampa's humid subtropical climate has drastically changed and now that is no longer a concern? Also, another reason given was "burnout," as if that's ever been a problem for this division. Sure, there might be a few teams that thin out towards the end of the season. I've been on a couple. It sucks. However, most of the teams show up strong all the way through the playoffs. We sell out quickly and everyone wants in this division. Burnout won't be a problem here for the foreseeable future.
6 innings is awesome, and delaying games (I've never seen it here) was talked about. Don't be stupid and try to delay a game because you're winning. That's bush-league psych out stuff. Laughable, man.
More questions:
- Do captain's really have to ref every week?
- Was "Kegger" really stoned the whole time?
- Could "Kegger" have laughed at any more of his lame comments with more of a self-satisfied, shiteating grin?
- Why does the Florida supervisor have more of a masshole accent than the northeast supervisor, my teammate Ty, who is actually from Boston?
I will agree that he "detoured" around a lot of the direct questions. Still not sure why we only get 8 games... lightning and weather in October? Really? Is it gonna get snowed out or something??
And the fact that Paige asked him directly about her video and he said it was up to him to kick her out of the league was such bullshit! Ask her for clarification.
Love that he was surprised he was being video taped. Of course we are going to mark your words man. And I wish you could have videoed Chandler's face, he was less than impressed.
Haha, love it. That "Keggers" guy was special.
BTW... Paige removed her own comment. DPT didn't censor anyone.
