For those of you that are not captains...

Hello Captains!

Had fun the first game, and at MacD's and for the few of you.. Gator Rompin. Some questions that were brought up... Coolers... The powers that be have found out about the cooler theme (they read the blog) and they are debating giving your teams a PF. I believe I talked them out of it, knowing that YOU WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN :)

Field Set up... If you notice on the schedule, each team will now be responsible for setting up the fields prior to each game. If you see FS next to your team name, you will be setting up the fields before the 7pm game start. The 8pm games once complete will just pick -up the equipment and drop it off in the wagon provided. I will be there at 630 with the equipment on the fields. It is up to you as captains if you want to pre-designate a few people or have the whole team help. The field set up diagrams are on the website in the rules. ( I suggest home plates being closest to the "Parking Lots") 6 inning issue.

If your team finish the 5th inning before the required 1 Hour stop time, you can continue on the the 6th inning. HOWEVER, if you do not finish the 6th inning in the alloted 1 hour time frame, the game concludes and you go back to the 5th inning score.

Double t-shirts. If anyone on your team ordered 2 t-shirts and paid for them, but only received one, please get me the kickball usernames of those folks. No one should have been able to order more than 2.

Lost t-shirts... If anyone picked up extra t-shirts, please bring them to the game on Thursday. Well.. That it is for now... See you all on Thursday!

~Jaime

The comments on the cooler theme game and field setup are pretty ridiculous to me but thats just WAKA being WAKA...thoughts???

So now we have a muppet on the blog... to go with a fictional Dave Chappelle character, the guy from Terminator, Steph's Face, my visor, a bowling pin, a rubber beanie, a hot tub, etc...

Out of control.

Tell us some jokes, Fozzie

Chris said...

But, be careful Fozzie. Make sure you get those jokes approved by WAKA first. Remember, we're under surveillance.

This is a serious blog!!! Thought we had a no muppet policy Chan?

Florian said...

Thanks for sharing this info Nate. Now if we could only get the whole league to have cooler themed games every week.

Chandler said...

Nate:

It's difficult for the admins to stop the muppet infiltration when they're setting up their own Google Accounts.

Now if Florida adopted the Arizona Immigration Law, Bull could ask for proof of non-muppetness and then turkey slap Fozzie back to Fraggle Rock.

Nate Dawg said...

Chan - that would be awesome, who do we need to talk to about getting this 'zona immigration law put in place??? LOL fraggle rock...

Wait so waka big wigs take time to read donkeynoms to make sure we aren't having cooler games? Awesome

Also Souder did ya read that rule? The hour ran up. Im pretty sure you owe SB a win. Pay up.

Chandler said...

Nate - Charlie Crist and then whoever wins the election in November.

Rollo - I saw your entire team tie their shoes one by one in order to waste time. Sounds like you all should be kicked out of the league.

Sweet...I'll start campaigning for which ever canidate is for the Arizona Immigration Law...

I call BS... seriously... way to take something fun and act all crappy about it. And the fact that Jamie had to convince them not to post a PF. First off - who are these secret 007 type officials, burn after reading or this league will self destruct in 5 seconds fascists??? Seriously, who are these powers that be??? Why do they even CARE???? The coolers were EMPTY??? I wonder what they would do if we brought Marvin's bangin boom box to the field.. Ohh wait.. It's a "cooler" they may have to PF their game...
Seriously!!!! Shenanigans I tell you!

Is the cooler rule to limit the amount of alcohol on the fields or the amount of coolers? Seems like a pretty gray rule

Chandler said...

The purpose of the rule (as explained to us by MLoop) is to limit the PERCEPTION of alcohol on the fields.

Allegedly, WAKA tells the insurance carrier that we don't have "beer cans, bottles, kegs, funnels" on the field (his words). They then tell us no coolers to enforce this policy. But we're winked at and allowed to skirt the rule by using Bubba Kegs or other things.

The whole thing is a gray area.

And a BOOM for trini.

Coolers were empty, I don't see the problem.

If the WAKA folks really are keeping tabs on us, then let me say that their little cooler hating insurance ploy sucks, and so does their homeboy kegger.

Chandler- Lies. Name one team that goes rushing out onto the field. We didn't slow up, we just didn't rush either. Them thinking they had a time limit made them play risky, hence why they tied the game at all. If there was no time limit mentioned they would never of tried the hail mary plays that they did. They would of continued to munt like they did every other inning :oP All in all the new rule is dumb. There shouldn't be any time limit. Just wait till the toejammers figure out how slow they have to play in order to kick first and then not let the other team have enough time to kick last.

OK guys... I have a REALLY dumb question...

If this is all about INSURANCE than can someone please tell me what sort of insurance coverage we have?

I was unaware that we were covered at all and to that end would like to talk to this insurance carrier about the ankle sprain that I sustained last year.

Reading through the section in the PAL contract, WAKA (lessee) is required to carry what I assume is liability insurance in order to lease the field. When you sign up for WAKA you certify that you have your own health insurance and release WAKA from any liability for injuries occurring during the game (or from kicking a soccer ball). PAL isn't liable for anything that happens on those fields during the times that WAKA leases them, so WAKA has to carry its own liability insurance policy.
And, this comment was way to serious for this blog so, dick joke, "Kegger" misses the paddles from college, and fart joke.

Valid question, Cathy. Might be something you should e-mail your division rep Jaime about. She should be able to find out who the insurance carrier is and can hopefully provide a copy of the policy upon your request.

Chandler said...

Souder - Let me get this straight. PAL requires WAKA to have insurance. WAKA then makes everyone click a box that states they have their OWN insurance, and thus WAKA is not liable for any injuries?

So their insurance would never be used? Holy fuck. I'm in the wrong business.

Dear WAKA Powers that Be. Next season, I will offer you DonkeySurance and a super low discounted rate. I will not make you sign anything that restricts alcohol for your players. I will not put any clauses in there about lightning and 10-game fatigue. You will, however, have to keep the waiver box that each player checks which will alleviate me from ever having to pay out any damages to your members. Since you already have my contact info, I will await your replay. Giddy-up.

bull said...

I'm pretty sure the box we clicked said "I agree not to use the one million dollars worth of insurance that PAL makes WAKA have."

If they are now patrolling our "outlet" to bitch and blog then and it's being held against us then clearly this is no longer an outlet.
I think I still get free speech though so if I paid my $72 like everyone else I can still tell you (WAKA) that you suck at making rules and enforcing them since you don't even really know what they are.
