OC takes a break from GKB

As has been noted in the chatterbox over there on the right, the OC has moved back to comfortable old WAKA for the time being.  The reasons were numerous, but I won't get into a lot of it so as not to bore you.  I will, however, provide a brief summary:

Last spring was the least amount of fun I've ever had playing kickball.  Some of it came from within my team, some of it came from other teams in the league, some of it came from the league itself, and some of it came from my work situation.  I don't think my work situation factored into the rest of my team agreeing with me about the fun level of the spring, but they agreed on the rest.

In order to try to get back to having fun, we moved back to where we've had fun before: WAKA.  Yes, it's more expensive, but I recently picked up a second job laundering all of WAKA's ill-earned money which I guess was partly mine in the first place, and am now rolling in the extra Hamilton's it took to sign up for the Bayshore division.

So cost no longer being prohibitive, we made the switch.  I know it wasn't fun for some of y'all out there playing us, either.  We tried to play hard and maybe wanted to win a little too much at times.  I do think certain things were blown out of proportion, but it's the past and I'm over and beyond it.  Hope there are no hard feelings out there and maybe one day when things get a little more settled we'll head back on over to GKB.  I always say the biggest improvement always comes between the first and second season, so I'm sure the league will operate without a hitch and hopefully some better luck in regards to falling trees.

I might do some picks for s's and g's if y'all don't mind, and perhaps I can offer an occasional WAKA scouting report in the form of an MSPaint.  I do enjoy doing both of those things.

Your pal,

Jack from Off Constantly

Dammit Jack. GorecHate is going to miss you this season. I already had plenty of ammo given you STOLE one of my players! You and Chandler must've taken this same class back when you two attended high school together.

Anyways, don't be a stranger to the blog, field, or bar. And you better be recruiting your whole team to show u to Gator Rompin on Aug 27. See ya then.

Not sure you really owe anyone an explanation, Dub. But you and Beardface will be missed. Feel free to make picks anyway, you don't have to travel far to collect/pay up.

Good luck Jack and OC! We hope you dominate face this season...even with our stolen player. ;)

Every time an Alcoballic willingly seeks out another team (own their own accord)... Gorecki gets the rest of them drinking the "they took our player" Kool-Aid... haha

Morgan Brantley left the 'Ballics to play with the OC in WAKA this fall. She played with them over the summer season as well.

Tried to steal more of your players, Gorechate, but we're happy to take Morgan.

And stealing players was covered in Ms. Scott's kindergarten class, not in high school.

Really, I'm just trying to keep my picture up here. It's a classic shot.

haha that's some hate. but two of those you fucked up the syllable count. for instance... "JW" is 4 syllables in itself.

"Dub" in one syllable. I'm sure that's how Gorecki intended to be pronounced. ;)

Nice pre-season haiku submissions!

Stop encouraging Gorecki...

"dub" was my intent, now theres a loyal teammate! Thanks Noble!

Is the other one your (purposely not using you're here to annoy chandler) refering to Teneille's haiku? "head'n" is one syllable. I'm using ebonics for my former ebony teammate.
