DPT Bad QB - Week 2 Recap

If you didn't think the lockout hurt football, look at Cam Newton. He's tearing apart defenses, because the secondaries did not get enough time in the off season to get on the same page. Bad QBs are now good QBs!

Souder vs. Nate
Freeman looked like a solid start for Nate until he decided to win the game in the 2nd half. Stafford lit it up for the Lions, hurting Souder's team... but his pick of the Colts at #16 is looking to be the steal of the draft. Without Manning, they're doomed... as Kerry Collins scored Souder 26 points. Final score: Souder wins 15-0.

Kyle vs. Smithkey
Two powerhouses of suck going at it in this match-up. Initially, Kyle had the win until Grantland realized they missed some key stats. Both owners had players benched, and Smithkey even got 10 bonus points from the vote of confidence given to Romo from Jerry Jones. I guess that worked, as he came back into the game with broken body parts to win the game, and lose the fantasy (kinda like Chris Simms did before he turned to cocaine). Final score: tie game 91-91.

Gorecki vs. Bito
Bito gave up on MacNizzle too early, and started the Titans and Texans who didn't make many mistakes. But it was a moot point. Philip Rivers had a 3 turnover game, and those bonus points were enough to win. Final score: Gorecki wins 32 - -4.

Litman vs. Chandler
Alex "Small Hands" Smith spurned Chandler again, refusing to suck like he has in years past. And that's just no way to overcome Tarvaris "About to get Benched" Jackson who refuses to complete any significant passes. Final score: Litman wins 36-27.

For those in the league, post up who you're starting next week!

Things Grantland missed, which are now updated:
- Matthew Stafford had over 300 yards passing, which loses Souder 6 more points.
- Josh Freeman had a game winning drive, costing Nate 12 more points (DPT actually emailed this in, and got a response from Grantland thanking us for point it out).
- Sexy Rexy Grossman had a game winning drive, costing Kyle 12 points AND his victory turned into a tie.
- Sam Bradford lost a fumble, earning Gorecki 5 more points.

Other than the Smith Key / Kyle game, no outcome was affected. Next week I'm going to be a little more patient, and let these kinks work themselves out before I update our stats. Let's shoot for Wednesday updates since kickball power rankings come out on Tuesday.

Can I hold off until a little later in the week before I make my decision? It depends on how Tony Homo is doing

Of course. Just make sure you post it publicly so there's no debate on when you got it in.

Stafford only passed for 294 yards...at least according to NFL.com

either way, I'll take the Redskins and the Chiefs again this week

As a team they had 322 though. Shaun Hill was 1 for 1 it seems.

Vikes and Giants. I hoping for 39 yds McNabb. And for The Eli we all love. The one with that stupid look on his face when he gets blitzed every play by the Eagles.
