Below is a diagram of the questionable play at 3rd base last night between the Ligers and Shockers. The play happened in the top of the 5th with the Ligers trailing 4-3. Basically what happened was Chandler over slid 3rd bringing with him the 3rd base below his body. Chandler quickly realized the error in his ways and quickly made an attempt to reach his hand back to the location of where 3rd base should have been. Unfortunately Chandlers blazing speed and jet like aerodynamics carried too much momentum and he slid too far past the bag and was not able to get anywhere close to getting back before getting tagged out. Chandler was called out by myself and Tony and arguments were to follow. The game was called in the bot of the 5th at 9:05 with the Shockers kicking and up 4-3. Could the Ligers have tied or won that game if a different call was made at 3rd? Could they have tied or won if so much time was not spend arguing the call? Could they have tied or won if they did not take 15minutes to take the field in between inning? We will never know.
Edit: 10.10 When a base is displaced during play, any runner is safe while in contact with the base's original and correct location. All displaced bases should be restored at the end of each play (see Rule 1.01b).

Calling the game at 9:05pm was the correct call. In fact, it was the Ligers who said: "we really need to end this game."
And while we dispute if my hand reached back to the line in time, the picture is awesome. You drew Tony too skinny though. And I love the idea of a MS Paint Pic of the Week.
Oh... and rule 3.07 clearly says that even if the play happened as you described... and despite rule 10.10... Tony COULD have called me safe just for fun, and it would have been perfectly OK. It also wouldn't have set a precedent.

Last night was probably the most heated game I reffed since my first week of kickball on NKOTB when Tony threw the chair on the field.

You think with all that money we pay and possibly with Waka saving some money with only one party this season they could buy 4 video cameras to use on each field. Video replay challenges work in NFL and college and also hockey so why not kickball
