The game started well for the OC with BEARDFACE kicking a single after holding the Empty Cups scoreless in the top of the first. After a pop out bunt, I managed to kick an extraordinarily weak dribbler to the first baseman and as he was slowly getting the putout, BEARDFACE made his typical "I'm going to keep running" move and drew an overthrow to third which allowed him to score.
That was all well and good, but the real action happened in the bottom of the third when a few clutch kicks and some shoddy INaR defense resulted in 6 runs, after which the game was pretty much over. After a diving catch from Katie in rightfield, the wrong shade of blue had to be pretty defected. BEARDFACE took advantage of more poorly executed throws after that to earn his first "homerun," and the OC defense took a bit of a nap in the top of the 6th allowing the Empty Cups a garbage time run.
Other items of note:
- The real OC is back. No, not because we dominated this game, but because we are arguing calls and being assholes again. This time we argued a call that WENT OUR WAY! Yes, you read that right. A fellow rounded first to go to second, was thrown out on his way back, the ref made the appropriate call, the runner protested a bit, and we immediately jumped down everybody's throats (this was all sans pants, remember). WE'RE BACK, BABY!
- I can't believe we allowed another run.
- Their pitcher was good, as I didn't get good contact in either of my attempts.
- Sets up a battle for third place in BADASS division next week with the Kitten Killers. Second is officially out of reach with WAKAshame playing Team Bad next week.
Cat-tion: A couple of OC stars of the game get an early start in celebrating Cat-toberfest.

*Annihilation should really have been reserved for what PMU did to Team Fab in the game before ours, but I'm using it anyway.

Yes, it is catpaint. If you have an iPhone, and don't have catpaint, you're doing it wrong.
