It's been awhile since our last beach volleyball day, and i have been talking to a few peeps who are down to go again...so let's make it happen! Post Rocky Point/Crabby Bills is the place, Sunday/Noonish is the day and time...see you all there :)
The day makes all the difference to me. I love Volleyball! I just need it to be on a day i don't have school! This weekend i have no class at all then the following weekend i have class on Sunday.
Well saturday you are all playing bball? We could do it sunday...if you dont have soccer...then monday is memorial day which would work too if everyone is off that day?
OMG this is such a pain in the ass going between both blogs! Can't we all just get along? LOL
ok...Frank just suggested frenchy's rockaway and i'm cool with that - now all i need from you is a day suggestion for this weekend...help a girl out here! :)

-- But I think this stems a bigger question...do we keep soccer on it's current "every-other-sunday" schedule (which would allow us to put volleyball in on alternating Sundays) Or do we try doing soccer every sunday, then maybe alternating basketball to every-other-saturday? Maybe that's a topic for another post...
-But this weekend I'm game whenever..no holiday plans so Monday is open as well.
I'd rather alternate vball and soccer. I think every week will kill it... kinda like you all killed basketball (although I know that's making a comeback).

alright so we ruled out saturday...this sunday ok with everyone? I'm thinking it will be busy everywhere cuz of memorial day weekend but if the majority wants monday instead thats fine...lets take a poll.
Just some words of warning, Clearwater Beach during memorial day weekend is ridiculously packed.
60 has been known to get backed up with traffic all the way to 19. I'd actually recommend going across the Howard Franklin and taking Ulmerton over to Gulf Blvd and coming up from the south.
Expect parking to be expensive and a bitch as well.
Won't pretty much everywhere be busy memorial day weekend? Frank said he knew of some good parking out there... I'm just going off suggestion since i dont know many places, is there somewhere else that any of you might think is a better idea?
Ok new idea to beat traffic etc...just got an email from Ali... Any input?
Hey Sarah. I was going to post on the blog but don't have time to figure out how. If you guys want to avoid the beach traffic this weekend - there are v-ball courts at Post Rocky Point (my apartment). I don't know about how crowded they get but there is always the option of going to Crabby Bills or the Pool if they aren't available.
So Sunday afternoon...Post Rocky Point...a few more questions..
- What time? - Parking an issue? - Do we need to get the gate codes from Ali/Irish? - Is the volleyball courts in the same area as the pool and BBQ area? - Should we start a shopping list?
Look up Mary Miner in the gate directory and that will ring to my phone
Volleyball courts are near the office pool but not right next to it so we would have to move stuff from one place to the other. There is also a volleyball net in the pool
There are grills all over the complex so there is probably one close to both the pool and the v-ball courts

I'm all about volleyball. Can't wait to get out and test my re-constructed shoulder. BUT... like Rollo said... the day makes all the difference.
Used to play all the time back in the HS days. I probably can't bump the ball worth a damn anymore, but It'd still be fun to get out there.

Parking shouldn't be an issue...
Everyone may want to try to get there at a decent time though, I'm pretty sure we're not the only ones wanting to play volleyball on a Sunday.
