A player from WAKA Shame kicked the ball with his plant foot in front of the plate, I called foul ball, it was caught. I let the kicker re-kick, they got out anyways... but I missed it.
Then later in the game the same thing happened, but IKT was up to kick, and I called them out. Which was the correct call, but not consistent with my earlier call.
WAKA Shame was nice and let IKT re-kick, she got out anyways. So no harm was done.
But then the conspiricy rumors started swirling saying that runs wouldn't score... yada yada yada... I am sorry.
Perhaps we should just clarify how this rule works: if a kicker kicks the ball outside of the kicking zone, it's a foul ball. If that kick goes up in the air and is caught, it's the same as a foul out. If the ball lands fair and isn't caught, it's still a dead, foul ball and as long as it's not foul #4, the kicker is still up.
I don't think it mattered in the end, but it's good to know.
Actually I remember it differently Grifter. Our girl was up, you called her for kicking it in front of the plate, they caught it but you still called a foul.
Then later the same thing happened for a WS guy kicking and you called him out after getting a rule clarification from your captain.
Then it was decided since you gave us the call in our favor earlier that they would get in once in thier favor as well.

doesn't seem so bad or like it could have changed the outcome. 4-0 isn't exactly a "one at-bat" close game.

I may have reversed the action... but either way I blew it. At least it worked out in the end.
